Placing your dress on consignment with Inspired Weddings by Shine Photo is easy to do and a great way to give your dress a second dance.
To have your dress considered, it must be:
- Currently in fashion. This usually means it is less than 10 years old, although sometimes we will consider an older dress with classic styling.
- Free of all odors including but not limited to mildew, cooking odors, smoke, pets and perfume.
- Clean and free of rips and stains. Dry cleaned is best with the dry cleaning tag attached. This will net you the highest commission.
- Unboxed. We do not accept boxed dresses, or the boxes themselves.
Book an appointment online to have your dress(s) considered for the shop. APPOINTMENT BOOKING
All customers wishing to try on a dress must create an online appointment. In doing so, they accept our terms of arriving clean and well groomed, free of perfume, makeup and spray tans. This helps to protect the integrity of the garments. Our concierge chooses the sizes and styles for them, ensuring a good fit and again protecting the garments from damage.
Although we take these precautions to protect your dress we do not guarantee your dresses or insure them for you. Damage can happen and you accept the potential risk of this happening when you leave a garment with us. Up until the time that a garment is sold, it remains your property, so if at any time you change your mind, you just have to notify us so that we can arrange a time for you to pick it up.
We kindly ask that you do not list your dress online while selling with us. This defeats the purpose of having it in our shop and you will be asked to pick up your garment.
Commissions
You will receive a 20-50% commission of the sale price when the garment sells. Commissions are dependent upon the condition of the dress. We let you know what the commission will be when we assess the garment. The better the condition, the easier it is to sell the dress and the higher the selling price will be. Prices are also set when we assess the dress. Payouts are done at the end of the month.
